SBK Evo Kawasaki Riders
David Salom (KRT SBK Evo) leads the Ninja ZX-10R attack at the penultimate round of the championship in France this weekend, heading up his nearest challenger by an impressive 41 points.
Magny Cours will be an important home round for third place Evo championship rider Jeremy Guarnoni (MRS Kawasaki) and a potential swansong for French legend Fabien Foret (Kawasaki Team Pedercini), who replaces the still injured Luca Scassa.
Sheridan Morais (Iron Brain Kawasaki SBK Team) is currently sixth overall in the Evo rankings, one place ahead of Alessandro Andreozzi from the Pedercini squad and two places ahead of Scassa. Bryan Staring (Iron Brain Kawasaki SBK Team) is tenth in Evo, one place behind Foret in a category numerically dominated by Ninja machines.
Superstock 1000 FIM Cup
Lorenzo Savadori (Kawasaki Team Pedercini) enters the seventh and final Superstock 1000 FIM Cup round only five points behind the championship lead, having won two races through the season on his Ninja ZX-10R. He will be out to overturn this disadvantage and win the championship with a strong performance in France.
David McFadden (MRS Kawasaki) and Matthieu Lussiana (Kawasaki Team Garnier by Aspi) are the next best ranked Kawasaki riders, sitting fifth and sixth respectively.
Like Lussiana, Romain Lanusse (Team Pedercini Kawasaki) is about to take part in a home race in France, hoping to improve on his current eighth place in the series. His current position gives Kawasaki four of the top eight places in the Superstock championship rankings.
Superstock 600 European Championship
Marco Faccani (Kawasaki San Carlo Team Italia) rode brilliantly to win the 600 Superstock championship last time out in Spain. He has now scored five wins in six events and is going for victory number six this weekend in France.
Andrea Tucci, Faccani’s San Carlo Team Italia team-mate, moved up to third place in the rankings in the most recent race weekend and is still in with a mathematical chance of taking overall second spot if he has particularly good raceday.
Ilya Mikhalchik (Team Go Eleven Kawasaki) is sixth and Luca Salvadori (Team Ten Lap Racing Kawasaki) seventh as both riders have one more chance to shoot for their first podium of 2014.
